Psalms 103:2 (NKJV)
Bless the Lord , O my soul, And forget not all His benefits.
3 key messages at the end of the year
This psalm was not written by someone whose life was free of problems. On the contrary, David admonished himself not to forget the Lord’s goodness. For forgetfulness is a serious spiritual problem.
Today we will learn through three key messages that the Lord has placed in our hearts.
- God is our help, Eben-Haezer!
“Thus far the Lord has helped us.” ~ 1 Samuel 7:12 (NKJV)
The Israelites erected the stone of Eben-Haezer not because their lives were always easy, but because they realized one thing: without God, they would not have come this far.
The meaning of Eben-Haezer:
– Not nostalgia
– Not pride
But a confession of faith. - Counting the Blessings, Changing Hearts
Illustration: Receipts in a drawer
– Small blessings
– Daily faithfulness
– God provides
Gratitude changes the way we see life
Gratitude doesn’t deny pain.
Gratitude strengthens the heart. - Those who remember God’s faithfulness are not afraid to move forward
“Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” ~ Isaiah 41:10 (NJKV)
– Do not be afraid
– I am with you
– I will strengthen you
– I will help you
– I will hold you
Those who count their blessings and remember God’s faithfulness:
– Do not live in fear
– Do not walk in anxiety
– Are ready to move forward
Let’s close out 2025 with gratitude.
Let’s enter 2026 with faith.
The same God continues to be with us all.
Happy New Year 2026, Eben-Haezer!
